Do you cook? Do you ever have food waste? Better yet, do you compost? Do you wish you could compost but don't have the space or time?
The Urban Food Loop will come to you, cart away your waste, and bring back rich, dark, organic compost for your garden. And if you haven't got a garden, but would rather your food not end up in a land fill contributing to the overproduction of Greenhouse gases, then you can donate your compost. They have a partnership with Heifer International's Urban Farm whose produce is donated to local food pantries.
I've been using their service and it's fantastic. Our compost pile was overgrown and we just didn't have time for up keep. They come each week to pick up the buckets they supply. We're not overfilling our trash, and the tough business of composting is taken care of for us.
I have the fortune of being good friends with the adorable pair of human beings that created and run The Urban Food Loop. We did a shoot to give a behind the scenes look at the process, places and people. Please enjoy ogling at their cuteness and sign up for their service today! You really need it.
